SALLY BOY A must-do for all Asian street-food enthusiasts, Sally Boy will be a heated flavour battle between the CBD’s iconic Gingerboy and Windsor favourite, Saigon Sally. Meeting under the same roof for the first time, the two restaurants will present signature cocktails and their best dishes over four courses. Saigon Sally Executive Chef, Adrian Li will put his years of practice up against Gingerboy’s main man, Leigh Power. Guests will have a chance to meet each chef and will be then able to decide for themselves which of the two is Melbourne’s king of street food.

L’HOTEL GITAN Join hospitality legend Jacques Reymond for a five-course feast at their one-year-old gastro French pub, L’Hotel Gitan, for this year’s Good Food Month. On two separate Saturdays throughout November, experience the exquisite cuisine of one of the world’s most lauded chefs, and meet him face-to-face. BARBEQUE AT THE BISTRO The long-awaited arrival of spring signifies the beginning of barbeque season and to celebrate, Northcote dining gem Estelle Bistro has organised a series of sizzling Friday lunches. For just $40, diners will enjoy two courses and a beer or glass of wine, with a different cut of meat roasted on a spit in the courtyard each week. A sample menu includes an entrée of spring vegetable salad and smoked lamb brisket, followed by barbecue Flinders Island Lamb rump, smoked pommé puree and asparagus.

The Italian Food Feud will see the chefs go head to head in a pizza vs. pasta battle, with a four-course feast to decide which Italian specialty reigns. The $99 ticket price is inclusive of matched beverages as well as the feast.
